Meridian Crowns

How it works

Meridian Crowns is a calm strategy game. You govern a country as its government, in a world that simulates itself. Below you can read what to expect.

1. Found your country

After a long journey, your tribe finds a valley with fertile soil, running water and shelter from the wind. You give your country a name, and at the next turn it is placed in the world. You start with one state and a few hundred inhabitants.

2. One turn every day

One turn is one month in the game, and there is one turn a day. During a turn, the game simulates the whole world:

Every twelve turns a year has passed. Then the annual contracts end and the figures of the year are added up.

3. Make your decisions

Between two turns you govern your country. Among other things, you can:

4. Read between the lines

You hear what happens in your country through messages: weather reports, observations, audiences and requests. They come from people with their own views and interests. Whoever reads and compares carefully governs better.

Frequently asked questions

What does it cost?

Nothing. The game is free with one country. Optional subscriptions will follow for those who want more countries or more insight, without an advantage in the world. See Pricing.

Do I need to install anything?

No, you simply play in your browser.

How much time does it take?

As much as you like. A few minutes a day is enough to make your decisions. If you miss a day, your country simply carries on.

Do I play against other players?

You play in a shared world. Other countries trade on the same markets and use the same nature, so what they do affects you too.

Is the game finished?

Not yet. Meridian Crowns is in early access: it is still in active development, and some parts may still change.
